I did, and it makes the whole process much nicer, level 20 is easy to autogrind over a night or two in hostile space, and only takes 2-3 packs of green crap to get there. If you can stomach it, I would absolutely suggest a second Stella from the next arc event store, so that you don't get to a point where it makes you feel sick to scrap your T5+ Stella and have to re-start all over again. Get to 'Scoundrel' faction ASAP, and stay there as long as possible, the costs for packs in the store seem to double at each rank (really annoying!), but it gives you access to Rare crap, and the data to directives pack includes rare directives at that point too (only way to get the buggers being that and the security-token chest from Scoundrel+) If you are tiering solely to scrap, go to T4 at most, because the blue crap is a pain to get hold of, and at level 20 you still get 1500ish particles for research (plenty for a few ranks of research early on). BUT, Rare armadas are significantly harder than their UC counterparts, and the rewards are not as good. The good news, is that a T1 Stella with a solid batch of the Stella specific research behind it actually out powers a T3/4 Stella with minimal research with similar crew/ops/etc backing, so the rebuild cycle isn't a terrible pain if you're stuck re-tiering when an apex event or something comes up. This will take a HUGE amount of time if you're stuck doing level 27 armadas, unless you have a solid group of alliance friends who have put in the time on the research to carry you through them. the latest 'Clear the Coast' BP missions), which you need to buy the resources in the Rogue store, to tier up your Stella. ![]() The only reason to directly improve your Stella with these researches, is to perform better at the Exchange Armadas (and exchange transport grinding, e.g. The only reason to scrap your Stella, is for the particles which are used to do research directly related to improving your Stella (although, some of these researches unlock things like 'pvp damage increase', which ARE nice to have) So, the mission chain gave you a tutorial of sorts (and the usual rewards for arc missions, like shields and speedups) - if you don't have it, don't worry, you can still feed it feet (nacelles?) first into the wood chipper that is the Scrapyard!
